Desert Cruisers of Las Vegas
Jesse & Melanie
‘72 El Camino
This is going to be dedicated to Melanie's 1972 El Camino. We picked it up on Friday 13th July 2007!!

It is currently in pieces. The front frame has been stripped and painted and all new bushing, as has the rear end. I have a 350 with a TH350 to put into it. There is some minor rust in the lower cowl panels and the front windshield panel. I have also hound some major cancer in the rear window channel that was bondo'd over!!
This is the car still on the trailer after bringing it home
This is the only major rust in the car.
With the front end mocked up
With the '70 core support

I just picked up a factory air setup
The motor before and during the rattle can rebuild. As you can see, the inside of the motor is clean!
The motor is slowly coming together.
I have the motor and transmission bolted in and starting some of it's assembly.
Headers are in and wired up. I am currently delayed on trying to fire the motor as I just fried the distributor and coil

I got a few more parts for the front end.
Here is the front-end completely bolted together with passengers
Here I got a little over zealous with a rattle can. I just wanted the frontend 1 color for now
Quick pic with no dash and one of the Covan's Classic dash overlay with a couple gauges. I still need to wire it in and add a speedo and tach.
